With expert instructors on hand at all times you’ll be completely safe at all times; meaning you’ll be able to focus on the ultimate adrenaline rush as you tear through the rapids in an inflatable raft!
This exciting experience is your chance to discover the thrill of white water rafting at an official London 2012 Olympics venue! Located in Hertfordshire, just 40 minutes from central London, this world class venue played host to the Olympic white-water canoe events –and now you can take on the rapids with this rafting experience! Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time and allow three to four hours for the whole rafting experience. Upon arrival you will be given a safety briefing and kitted out with wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and wet boots – then it’s in to the water! White water rafting is an extreme sport, while navigating the course you could well take a tumble into grade 4 rapids, so be prepared. The bank safety team will be on hand to rescue you and safely help you out of the water before helping you back aboard your raft.
Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. Available April-November, March-November. The minimum age for rafting is 14. Any rafters aged between 14-18 must have a Parental Consent Form signed by their legal parent/guardian before being able to raft at the centre. Maximum weight is 18 stone (144kg). An Activity Assessment must be successfully completed before being able to raft the course. During your rafting experience you will need to remove jewellery and any items of value. To avoid risk of loss or damage please leave valuables at home. All equipment is provided – just bring your swimmers and a towel. The supplier will provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and wet boots. However, if you’d prefer to bring your own wet boots and/or wetsuit please feel free to bring them along – wetsuits must be full length and wet boots must cover your ankle.
