Your day begins at 10am. You will be based in the beautiful surroundings of a nature reserve deep in the heart of South-East London. The studio will have three different set-ups, with lighting and props, allowing you great access to the animals that you will photograph. This means you are free to spend as much or as little time with each animal as you wish. The class will begin with an introduction and overview of the key technical settings of your camera - macro lenses and filters will be available for loan if required. Next, get straight down to the business of photographing some of the easier subjects throughout the morning session. During your lunch break you're free to wander the tranquil gardens around the centre or review your morning's work with critique and advice from an expert photographer. In the afternoon you'll focus on some of the more challenging animals before returning to some of the more popular animals at the end of the day. Expert advice and technical assistance will be available throughout the day to help you get the best light settings, composition and speeds to capture great shots throughout the day. The class will finish at 4pm.
Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. You must bring your camera with you on the day; a digital SLR camera is recommended but not essential, standard and compact digital cameras are also welcome. The class is aimed at beginners or intermediates who would like to learn more about photography in a friendly, informal environment, but is also suitable for those less interested in the technical aspects of photography, who love animals and want some memorable shots to take home. The minimum age is 16 years. Complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits are available throughout the day. This experience runs on selected dates throughout the year. All dates are subject to availability.
