You will begin your wonderful experience with a walk through the stunning vineyard where you will be shown the seeds being planted and how the vines are “trained”, as well as how the ripest and most succulent grapes are harvested. Your expert guide will then take you through to the winery where you will discover the intricacies of wine-making, watching the grapes come in through to the processing, fermentation and blending system before the finished product is finally bottled for consumers to enjoy. Finally you will indulge in tasting some of the vineyard’s award-winning wines as you learn the differences between the wines and the key features to take into account when selecting your wine. Your experience begins with a brief introduction to the world of wine, before you head off for the tour. During the tour you will be shown a selection of wines and take part in a lively discussion on training, growing and harvesting of the vines. You will then move on to the winery, where you'll learn all about the wine making process from start to finish - from the arrival of the grape to the bottling of the completed product. After your tour you will be able to enjoy a wonderful wine tasting session, before sitting down to a delicious and relaxing lunch.
Voucher valid for 10 months. It is for two people and includes a vineyard and winery tour and wine tasting for two with a two-course lunch at the Chilford Wines and Bistro Shop. Minimum age is 18 years. This tour starts from the Chilford Wines and Bistro Shop at 9:45am and finishes at 1pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays late March to late October.
