My House History Portfolio

This made to order portfolio presents you with historical Ordnance Survey map extracts centred around the house or area of your choice. The maps used are taken from individual surveys of your area which commenced circa 1841 through to the 1960s. The mapping has been revised between 3 and 5 times since this period which provides you with several different versions of your area map. Your personal portfolio will contain multiple extracts illustratring those revised survey editions. The average portfolio will contain 7 historical map extracts at two different scales of both 1:2,500 and 1:10,560 complete with legends to aid interpretation.

As well as the historical mapping your portfolio will also contain a recent full colour aerial photograph from around 2000 at a 1:2,500 scale and a full colour extract from the current OS Landranger map base presented at a scale of 1:50,000. Both of these additional pieces will again be centred around your house and area of choice.

Your portfolio creates a unique collection of maps tracing the geographical changes over the past 150 years surrounding your home and local community. The pack also offers expert advice on how to investigate your homes history even further for an even more in depth portfolio.

The My House History Portfolio comes presented in a high quality storage case that features an internal device which allows the safe removal and replacement of page without the risk of damage. The portfolio also has room for extra pages should you wish to investigate further into your house history.
