This fascinating book offers a wonderful insight into this glorious sport from the golden old days right up to the modern F1 cars we see today. The book relives over half a century of this great motor sports rich history through the newspaper stories and reports of the time.

The book begins with Mike Hawthorn winning the Formula 1 Drivers' Championship back in 1958 beating Stirling Moss to the title by just 1 point. The book includes many of the great Championship winners including Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart and Jack Brabham. The newspaper reports highlight the thrills, excitement and danger of this fast paced sport. The book also covers the tragic deaths of so many great drivers over the years including Ayrton Senna, Jim Clark and Wolfgang von Trips.

Nearer the current day the book looks at Michael Schumacher's 7 Drivers' Championship wins and the Championship triumphs of Nigel Mansel and Damon Hill. The book contains stories of all the great teams from the lost golden oldies such as Lotus and Brabham to the new and soaring teams like McLaren and Red Bull.

More recent coverage in this Formula 1 book include reports of the emergence of the latest crop of British Driving talent. Jenson Button made a strong early impression. But enjoy reading about the 2007 sensation, Lewis Hamilton, who had the near dream debut season - losing out on the Drivers’ Championship title in the last race of the season.

The front page of the book opens to a montage of great drivers with an area where we add your personal information including the recipient's name and your personal message.

The book can be embossed on the front cover with gold text for an additional payment which gives a wonderful luxurious touch to this already fantastic gift.
